JOB INFORMATION | | Job Title: | EDI Developer | | Job ID # | J1929 | | Job Family: | Specialized Professional | | Reports To Position: | Senior Leadership | | FLSA | COMPUTER PROFESSIONAL | | PRIMARY PURPOSE | | Work with designated team to identify, design and implement solutions for extraction and integration of data to and from operational system and the data warehouse. | Organizational Summary | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS | | | | | |
Monitor and troubleshoot Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) and system performance, including optimization and tuning of data loads. | Perform program design, coding, testing, development and documentation activities of complex programs. | Understand job and activity schedules to promote optimal performance, maximize availability and minimize data latency and data load duration. | Participate in integration, training and implementation activities. | Document and build physical database objects from table, column, index and view definitions. | Develop scripts for the creation of the physical data warehouse tables, views and macros. | Adhere to data security and protection policies. | Assist with the development of technical specifications, development approaches and time requirements for average projects or packaged software implementation. | Report status updates accurately to IT and/or business leaders. | Provide workable solutions to fix project delays. | Refine and update technical/business skills and experience through work assignments, advanced technical/business training and attending professional/business industry conferences. | Provide off hours on-call support to resolve production issues within the stated service level agreement. | Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives. |

Education | Education | Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required. |
Work Experience | Work Experience | 3+ years experience as ETL developer in data warehouse / business intelligence environment required. | Experience across multiple systems and platforms utilizing various technologies such as ODBC, FTP, Window, Unix/Linux, and AS/400 required. | Experience working with high volume databases with partitioned data, performance and tuning required. |
