COMPUTER PROFESSIONAL

PRIMARY PURPOSE

With little or no guidance, incumbents design and develop applications based on business end-user needs. Participate in agile teams as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Perform program design, coding, testing, development and documentation activities of complex programs.

Review Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs) and determine necessary follow up questions to clarify expectations and estimated amount of time to complete code changes.

Consult with business leaders to gain deeper understanding of request.

Participate in integration, training and implementation activities.

Assist with the development of technical specifications, development approaches and time requirements for average projects or packaged software implementation.

Report status updates accurately to IT and/or business leaders.

Provide workable solutions to fix project delays.

Refine and update technical/business skills and experience through work assignments, advanced technical/business training and attending professional/business industry conferences.

Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Bachelors in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.


Work Experience

Work Experience

5+ years programming experience required.

RPG experience required.

SQL experience preferred.

Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities appropriately.

Must be able to multi-task.

Must be able to collaborate with others.
