PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provide administrative support and assist payroll tax department personnel in carrying out tax-related functions.

Organizational Summary

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Provide customer service support by responding to employee inquiries and special requests. Provide assistance with overflow call support/ACD Payroll Helpdesk.

Maintain employee payroll tax records and prepare daily tax check payments. Respond to employee inquiries and special requests.

Provide assistance in tax-related functions, such as, processing employee W4s, state withholding and applicable local tax forms.

Assist with daily reporting functions; validate work/resident taxation for new hires, position transfers and resident address changes. Assist with statistical and wage reporting for compliance purposes.

Assist in gathering data for tax agency inquiries and notices as required.

Identify opportunities for process and/or system functionality improvements with the payroll tax team to improve efficiency.

Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Knowledge of tax-related processes a plus. Master Tax a plus.


Work Experience

Work Experience

1 year payroll and customer service experience required.

Payroll tax software experience preferred.


Skills and Abilities

Must posses great verbal and written skills.

Must have high level of attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

Must be able to work independently and to prioritize and effectively manage daily schedule.

Must posses strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
