JOB INFORMATION | | Job Title: | Payroll Precycle Processing Specialist | | Job ID # | J0978 | | Job Family: | Specialist | | Reports To Position: | Payroll Leadership | | FLSA | | | PRIMARY PURPOSE | | Prepare data required to create multiple daily pay cycles in a high volume, multi-state, multi-entity environment. Research, review, input and approve transactional data required to ensure accurate and timely pay for employees and independent contractors. Create & analyze reporting required to meet standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations & employment laws including but not limited to FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Provide excellence in customer service for internal customers, driving and non-driving employees and independent contractors. | Organizational Summary | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS | | | | | |
Prepare data required to create multiple daily pay cycles in a high volume, multi-state, multi-entity environment. | Research, review, input and approve transactional data required to ensure accurate and timely pay for employees and independent contractors. | Create & analyze reporting required to meet standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations & employment laws including but not limited to FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). | Ensure compliance for multiple employee types and varied independent contracts. | Provide excellence in customer service for internal customers, driving and non-driving employees and independent contractors by being the subject matter expert including owner settlement, non-driver personnel action transactions, Comdata cards, direct deposit and banking transactions. | Collaborate with external business units, employees & contractors. | Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives. |

Work Experience | Work Experience | 2 years' previous customer service relations, payroll experience, training expertise or related experience preferred. | Transportation Industry or high volume payroll processing environment preferred. |
Skills and Abilities | Must posses exceptional verbal and written communication skills; advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, & Power Point. | Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. |
