This role involves investigating property damage claims, determining liability, and pursuing subrogation opportunities to recover costs from responsible third parties. Incumbents have up to $10,000 reserve authority; $5,000 settlement authority and $2,500 payment authority. | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS | | | | | |
Investigate, evaluate and resolve auto property damage and subrogation claims. | Ensure timely and professional communication with all involved parties. | Monitor and control claim-related expenses by leveraging cost-effective solutions, negotiating repair costs, and identifying opportunities for subrogation recovery. | Maintain detailed and organized claim files, ensuring all actions, communications, and decisions are properly recorded. | Document and establish timely reserves and execute claims payments within the delegated authority. Provide recommended action for all claim payments beyond delegated authority. | Engage directly with claimants and repair facilities to resolve claims efficiently while mitigating expense and maintaining a high level of customer service. | Manage multiple claims simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to ensure timely and efficient resolution. | Actively support colleagues and cross-functional teams to foster a collaborative work environment and alignment with organizational goals. | Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives. |
Business Specific Essential Functions | Line of Business | | | WORKERS COMP INJURY | WORKERS COMP INJURY Handle claims for minor lost time, medical only and first aid claims in multiple state jurisdictions. | | WORKERS COMP INJURY | WORKERS COMP INJURY Stay current through completing continuing education on federal, state and local work injury laws. | | WORKERS COMP INJURY | WORKERS COMP INJURY Review insurance policies for owner/operators and assign deductibles as needed. | | WORKERS COMP INJURY | WORKERS COMP INJURY Research and compile all loss components and send payment demand to at fault party. | | | | |
Education | Education | Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required. |

Skills and Abilities | Must possess strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills. | Must possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities. | Must be proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management software. | Must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. |
